Our Chief Instructor spent much of her youth wild camping in North Queensland and:
- Completed two Outward Bound adventure courses
- Has over 15 years experience with the Australian Department of Defence
- Deployed to, and lived and worked in a war zone in Afghanistan and Kuwait for nine months
- Completed military medical Field Training
- Is a qualified Wilderness- First-Aid Responder, including CPR and AED
- Completed four days of formal wilderness survival training and slept in a shelter constructed solely from natural bush materials
- Has survived 23 days without food
- Has planned and led over 450 outdoor activities for around 4,700 participants - including bushwalks and multi-day hikes over the last five years
- Has planned and led hikes inter-state and internationally in several countries
- Is qualified and experienced in off-track navigation and Risk Management
- Is a former Search & Rescue squad member
- Has cycle-toured several international countries
- Has travelled extensively, internationally; and
- Has a significant personal interest and research in the Psychology of Lost Persons' Behaviour
